  • Community Groups

Each week throughout our community, Community groups meet in homes to help people connect in a small group format

(8 - 14 people) with the purpose of building authentic relationships as those attending learn to live life together in a redemptive community. It is an environment where there is belonging, accountability, and care for each member. Leaders create their own themes for topical or book study, discussing the key themes of the Sunday message, or using a curriculum/study guide approved by the leadership of the church to promote active sharing and discussion of relevant issues in the members' lives.

There are many training and support sessions throughout the year for leaders of the various Community groups.

For more information please call the church office for locations and times of groups meeting in your area.

Contact: Stephanie Carroll at the church office at 864.859.2662 or Gemo and Ashley Vedani.

Out & About Events for Moms

Out & About is a ministry of Community Bible church that is primarily designed to give young moms at least one planned activity each month to participate in with their young children.  It is a great opportunity to get to know other moms in your same stage of life, build friendships within the church, and reach out to others in the community as well.  Each month we try to vary the day of the week and cost (from free to $5 typically).

Events will be announced here online, in the weekly bulletin, and via email updates.

Our next event for October 2010 is Sky Top Orchard: view the Calendar for more details.

So, what is this whole "MOPS" thing?

MOPS stands for "mothers of preschoolers" - but don't let that confuse you! MOPS is about meeting the needs of moms - urban, suburban, rural, stay-at-home, working, teen, adoptive, special-needs, single and married moms and is for every mom, from conception through kindergarten.

Each meeting provides an inviting environment where women can come - just as they are - to build friendships, be encouraged and gain practical parenting strategies all while their children are lovingly cared for in the MOPPETS program. The MOPPETS program includes classes for infants through kindergarten.

A typical meeting includes sharing breakfast together, listening to a speaker on a topic that is of interest to mothers with young children, participating in a roundtable discussion, and doing a creative craft project.

Meetings are held the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month

  • Men's Ministries

CBC desires to see the men in our church family examine their lives and take courageous steps to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become the men God intends for them to be. It is our firm belief that when men connect in life-changing ways, it causes a powerful ripple effect that touches our families, our workplace, and our church. Be on the lookout for studies, events, and conferences that will help you move beyond the walls of isolation and toward a Biblical viewpoint...toward building integrity, boldness, and compassion together.
