CHILDRENS MINISTRY
Our Purpose:
We exist to assist families as they teach their children the Word of God, to instill in the children a life lived by faith in Jesus Christ, and to focus their energies on worshiping God in His glory.
Our Vision:
The vision of CBC’s children’s ministry is to see the children established with a God-centered worldview, committed to the body of Christ, and equipped to share their faith in Jesus as they embrace the glory of God.
Our Core Values:
To make our vision a reality and accomplish the purpose of CBC’s childrens_ministry, we value:
* Parental involvement as it is primarily the parents’ responsibility to teach, discipline and model
faith for their children.
* Christ-like character in the lives of the teachers who model faith for the children.
* God-centered teaching of the word of God as He is the main character of the scriptures.
* Memorization of the word of God to allow the children to meditate on Him throughout the week.
* Prayer as the major practice demonstrating dependence on God.
* Active worship including singing, testimonies, giving, and the reading of scripture, reflecting the honor of God.

YOUTH
Our Purpose (Why are we going somewhere?)
We exist to nourish the youth of CBC into a genuine, progressive, infectious, and lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. For to me, to live is Christ (Phil. 1:21)
Genuine - the relationship will be a relationship.
Progressive - the relationship will get better with time and action.
Infectious - others will catch on to the relationship.
Lifelong - the relationship will never end.
Our Vision (So, where are we going?)
We see a group of loving believers equipped, empowered, and encouraged to actively express personal faith in Jesus Christ. And to die is gain (Phil 1:21)
Equipped - helping teens realize their position and possessions in Christ.
Empowered - giving teens authority and opportunity to use their spiritual gifts.
Encouraged - standing behind to push, in front of to pull, and beside to prod teens in using their gifts to share Christ as the hope of the world.
Our Mission (How will we get where we are going?)
Discipling teens to engage their culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul gives us a practical example of how to preach the gospel to every creature in II Tim. 2:2; And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
