The goal of the nursery ministry of CBC is to foster a biblical environment that nurtures and develops the character of our young children. Songs, activities, and crafts reinforce the Bible lessons being taught each week; and stir, even in our smallest children, a love for Christ at an early age. The nurseries are staffed by volunteer adults in the church who love children and want to see them grow into Godly boys and girls. If you are interested in serving in our nurseries, contact Janet Austin.
Trivia Question: On average, how many children ages infant to 3 1/2 years old do we have in the nursery? a) 20 b) 30 c) 40
Answer: C
Nursery Coordinators: Dee Guerrant and Debi Brannon
We are primarily designed to give young moms at least one planned activity each month to participate in with their young children. It is a great opportunity to get to know other moms in your same stage of life, build friendships within the church, and reach out to others in the community as well. Each month we try to vary the day of the week and cost (from free to $5 typically).
Events will be announced here online, in the monthly newsletter, and weekly bulletin and email updates.
Awana is an international, nondenominational, Bible-centered youth organization providing weekday clubs and programs for 3-year-olds through high schoolers. Awana exists to reach children and youth with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Reaching young people for Christ is very important. Do you know that up to 85% of those who trust Christ for their eternal salvation make that decision before the age of 14[1]?
That’s why Awana offers a series of clubs and programs geared to the needs of a particular age or grade. Through our Awana program and youth ministries here at Community Bible, we strive to give our children and youth a well-balanced emphasis on finding and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Community Bible Church offers a variety of children's ministries, including nursery, children's church, and AWANA. Our children's ministries not only offer an opportunity for parents to enjoy Sunday morning services and Community Groups, but also are coordinated with mom's ministries such as Out & About.
Nursery: Newborn through 2 years old
Children's Church: 3 year olds through 6th grade
AWANA: 3 years old through 8th grade
Out & About: For mommies and their children who just need to get out and about with other moms for a while!
Our Purpose:
We exist to assist families as they teach their children the Word of God, to instill in the children a life lived by faith in Jesus Christ, and to focus their energies on worshiping God in His glory.
Our Vision:
The vision of CBC’s children’s ministry is to see the children established with a God-centered worldview, committed to the body of Christ, and equipped to share their faith in Jesus as they embrace the glory of God.
Our Core Values:
To make our vision a reality and to accomplish the purpose of CBC’s childrens ministry, we value:
* Parental involvement, as it is primarily the parents’ responsibility to teach, discipline and model faith for their children.
* Christ-like character in the lives of the teachers who model faith for the children.
* God-centered teaching of the Word of God as He is the main character of the Scriptures.
* Memorization of the Word of God to allow the children to meditate on Him throughout the week.
* Prayer as a major practice, demonstrating dependence on God.
* Active worship, including singing, testimonies, giving, and the reading of Scripture, reflecting the honor of God.
